Synthesis of Tetrahydroquinoline Derivatives by [4+2]Cycloaddition Reaction

Teterahydroquinolrne derivatives 14 and 5) were synthesized by Lewis acid catalyzed I4t21cycloadd~t~on reaction of the olefins I1 and 2) and the urine 13).A number of biologically interesting compounds bearing a quinoline rlng system, such as camptothecin, are wrdely distributed in nature.
