Ivabradine improves LVEF and severe mitral regurgitation in a patient with tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy.
Why the study?
Does ivabradine improve hemodynamics and cardiac function in a patient with inappropriate sinus tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy and low blood pressure?
Case Report (n=1)

Does ivabradine improve hemodynamics and cardiac function in a patient with inappropriate sinus tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy and low blood pressure?
Ivabradine successfully reduced heart rate and increased blood pressure, enabling the optimization of guideline-directed medical therapy and recovery of LVEF in a patient with tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy.

May support ivabradine in tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy with hypotension; hypothesis-generating, requires prospective confirmation.
Inamori et al. (2021) conducted a case report in Inappropriate sinus tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy with severe functional mitral regurgitation (n=1). Ivabradine was evaluated on Clinical improvement (heart rate, blood pressure, LVEF, and mitral regurgitation). Treatment with ivabradine successfully reduced heart rate, increased blood pressure, and improved left ventricular ejection fraction and severe mitral regurgitation in a patient with tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy.
