Preliminary results of an 8 mm band TE02 mode gyromonotron operating at the second harmonic of the cyclotron frequency arc presented. The device can produce a pulse power of approximately 30 kw with no allowance for circuit losses. The mechanism of the harmonic operation is discussed and the mode control measures are also described.
