Surgical Outcomes of Posterior and Posterolateral Approaches for Resection of Ventral Thoracic Spinal Meningiomas

Introduction : Selecting a surgical approach for lesions ventral to the thoracic spinal cord requires a sufficient surgical field while reducing mechanical stress on the spinal cord during surgery. In cases of spinal meningiomas, direct microscopic visualization is necessary for managing dual attachment. In this study, we retrospectively reviewed surgical cases of spinal meningiomas located on the ventral side of the thoracic spine.
