Open heart surgery (mitral valve repair and aortic valve replacement) can be successfully performed as a rescue treatment for failed MitraClip with residual MR and worsening heart failure in an elderly patient.
Supports feasibility of surgical rescue after failed MitraClip in elderly; leaves open broader applicability and durability.
