Reviews of known life histories of species of the chloropid genus Pseudogaurax are presented, along with original data. The genus includes egg predators of araneomorph spiders, mantid oöthecae, and lepidopteran pupae. Fifteen egg sacs of the tetragnathid spider Nephila clavipes collected at three sites in Mexico yielded opportunistic occupants, egg predators and parasites, and spiderlings. From all egg sacs, one or more presumed parasite or egg predator emerged. Among insects emerging from egg sacs were two undescribed species of Pseudogaurax, both of which emerged from three of the egg sacs. Descriptions of the new species, P. higginsi Sabrosky and P. mexoculatus Sabrosky, are presented.
