Continuous wave laser radiation at 524 nm from a self-frequency-doubled laser of LaBGeO5:Nd3+

This letter reports continuous wave laser emission at 524 nm from a self-frequency-doubled infrared laser of LaBGeO5:Nd3+ operating at a fundamental wavelength of 1048 nm. Resonant pumping in the spectral region around 800 nm for laser diode pumping is investigated and optical losses are estimated.
