A theoretical framework for study of hidden-color components of nuclei is developed by using methods of nuclear cluster physics. The formalism is based on a constituent quark model with the QCD motivated $$qq$$ interaction and on a novel dibaryon model of the $$NN$$ interaction. Phenomenology of the dibaryon model is used for quantitative estimations of the weight of non-nucleonic components in the deuteron and of the contribution of such the components to the deuteron form factors.
