Key result
IV methylprednisolone and aspirin linked to symptom resolution in post-COVID-19 MIS-A pericarditis.
Why the study?
Early recognition and treatment of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in adults (MIS-A) with pericarditis after COVID-19 is important but not well established.
Comparison
Treatment with corticosteroids and aspirin versus initial antibiotic therapy

Supports potential role for corticosteroids plus aspirin in MIS-A pericarditis; hypothesis-generating and should not yet change practice.
Case Report (n=1)
Early recognition and treatment with corticosteroids and aspirin can lead to clinical recovery in patients presenting with MIS-A and pericarditis post-COVID-19.
MINE et al. (2025) conducted a case report in Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Adults (MIS-A) with Pericarditis (n=1). Corticosteroids (methylprednisolone) and aspirin was evaluated on Clinical recovery. Treatment with intravenous methylprednisolone and oral aspirin successfully resolved symptoms of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in adults (MIS-A) with pericarditis following COVID-19.
