Rare HOCM-Ehlers-Danlos co-occurrence in atypical chest pain; leaves open whether connective tissue screening is warranted in cardiomyopathy.
Case Report (n=1)
This case report describes a rare presentation of hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy associated with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
Pinto et al. (2015) conducted a case report in Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (n=1). A patient presenting with atypical chest pain was diagnosed with both hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome following clinical evaluation and skin biopsy.
