Case Report
The report confirms the presence of parvoviral enteritis and myocarditis in puppies in the Wellington region, with characteristics identical to overseas reports.
Parrish et al. (1980) conducted a case report in Canine parvoviral enteritis and myocarditis. Parvovirus infection was evaluated on Clinical, pathological, and virological findings. Outbreaks of acute enteritis and myocarditis in puppies were associated with a parvovirus antigenically related to feline panleucopaenia virus, with 14 of 48 local dogs showing significant titres.
