We propose a near-cloaking design consisting of a laminate of finitely many layers of isotropic materials. The design is obtained as an approximation of an anisotropic cloak constructed via the pushforward of a multi-coated structure, whose coating cancels the generalized polarization tensors (GPTs) up to a prescribed order. The enhanced cloaking effect achieved by the GPT-vanishing structure permits a coarser microscale and reduces the conductivity contrast among the constituent isotropic materials. Consequently, our design offers significantly improved constructibility for cloaking laminates compared to existing designs based on non-coated structures.
