May warrant aortic surveillance in anlotinib-treated NSCLC patients; hypothesis-generating case report requiring prospective validation.
Case Report (n=1)
Does anlotinib treatment lead to aortic dissection in patients with advanced NSCLC?
This case report highlights a potential novel adverse effect of anlotinib, an anti-angiogenic drug, causing aortic dissection and severe hypertension in a patient with NSCLC.
Jiang et al. (2019) conducted a case report in Advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) (n=1). Anlotinib was evaluated on Aortic dissection. A 58-year-old male with advanced NSCLC developed aortic dissection and thrombosis of the distal false lumen after receiving four courses of anlotinib.
