Key result
Venous myocardial sleeve activity drives diverse atrial arrhythmias, prompting a new clinical classification.
Why the study?
A new classification and naming of atrial tachyarrhythmias mediated by myocardial sleeves was proposed to better understand their unique clinical and electrophysiological features.
Observational (n=38)
This study proposes a specific nomenclature and classification for atrial arrhythmias originating from the myocardial sleeves of the pulmonary veins and vena cava based on electrophysiological characteristics.
Answers are grounded in this paper and cite their sources.
Proposed sleeve-based atrial arrhythmia nomenclature awaits validation; leaves open multicenter confirmation before clinical or research adoption.

杨延宗 (2002) conducted an observational in Tachyatrial arrhythmias (n=38). Myocardial sleeve electrical activity was evaluated on Clinical and electrophysiological characteristics of atrial arrhythmias. In 38 patients, myocardial sleeve electrical activity from pulmonary or caval veins was identified as a trigger or driver for various atrial arrhythmias, leading to a proposed new classification.
