Two single crystals of deuterated TGS doped respectively with alanine (ADTGS) and alanine plus bivalent platinum (ADTGS:Pt) were grown by means of a solution method. The pyroelectric coefficient and the specific heat have been measured in both samples and the data are compared with TGS and ATGS behaviours. The influence of an applied electric field on the specific heat on the specific heat of ADTGS:Pt has also been studied.
