This research paper critically evaluates the structural pathologies inherent in the conventional representative political system, contrasting them with the life-affirming paradigm of the direct participatory political system. Drawing upon recent academic discourse regarding civic agency, systemic alienation, and institutional decay—highlighted by contemporary analyses of social justice movements and participatory defense initiatives—this study argues that representation acts as an institutionalized mechanism of political disenfranchisement and social morbidity. Conversely, the direct participatory political system, anchored in the active involvement of the citizenry through concrete operational mechanisms such as the referendum, plebiscite, public forum, popular consultation, and sortition (elección popular al azar), establishes an unassailable framework for collective sovereignty, human dignity, and sustainable social progress.
