The anchor effect: Job embeddedness as a catalyst for affective commitment and employee retention in Indian 5-Star hotels

This study explores the relationship between Employee Retention Strategies and Affective Commitment in 5-Star Hotels in India with focus on Job Embeddedness as a mediator. The study comprised of 237 responses from employees working in 5-Star Hotels in India. PLS-SEM was applied to analyze the relation between Employee Retention Strategies, Job Embeddedness & Affective Commitment. The results reveal that Job Embeddedness partially mediates the relationship between Employee Retention Strategies and Affective Commitment. This study provides valuable insights for HR professionals to formulate and implement retention plans that cultivate mutually beneficial employer employee relationships.
