PURPOSE OF REVIEW: Health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is now recognized as a major dimension to take into account for a holistic care of sarcoid patients. Accordingly, it has to be precisely and reliably evaluated all along disease evolution in order to prompt appropriate measure when needed. When significantly impaired, HRQoL can now be managed through different approaches, whether or not pharmacological. The purpose of this review is to report on the factors identified as having a negative impact on HRQoL in sarcoid patients and on the innovative techniques to measure the latter and to manage it. RECENT FINDINGS: Several innovative methods have been shown to allow a good quality evaluation of HRQoL in the everyday life and to improve fatigue, one of the major component of a decreased HRQoL in sarcoidosis. SUMMARY: HRQoL is a major stake inside an optimized, holistic and patient-centered care of sarcoidosis. New online methods are important innovative approaches to this major issue.
