We report the results of studies of three Sikhote-Alin intrusive massifs composed of ilmenite- and magnetite-series rocks with rocks from different series that are either coeval or noncoeval within a single massif. Of particular interest are the coeval series of the Priiskovy and Aksaka massifs. Petrographically, the ilmenite and magnetite series of these massifs are virtually identical, yet have a different magnetic susceptibility and metallogenic specialization. The transition zone from the ilmenite to magnetite series within a single massif can extend over a few tens of meters.
