The paper analyzes seismic survey data of a private company, obtained in 2011 in the Lobey–Birofeld section of the Western tectonic zone of the Central Amur sedimentary basin. The seismic survey-based time sections and structural maps refine the structure of the Birofeld Graben showing complex tectonics in the SW part of the section. The interpreted wave field, which predicts a 4-km thick sedimentary cover for the Preobrazhenovsky trough, requires further clarification. The Lobey–Birofeld section is compared with adjacent well-studied gas-bearing grabens of the Yitong–Yilan Fault Zone. Both structures are part of the western branch of the Tan–Lu Fault System and formed in a similar geodynamic setting. 1D basin modeling was conducted for the gas-bearing Tangyuan Graben and the Birofeld Graben, with the latter being predicted to generate mostly gaseous hydrocarbons.
