Abstrak: Hipertensi merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan utama pada lansia yang dikenal sebagai “silent killer” karena sering tidak menimbulkan gejala namun berisiko tinggi menyebabkan komplikasi kardiovaskular. Edukasi diet DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) menjadi salah satu strategi non-farmakologis yang efektif dalam menurunkan tekanan darah dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup lansia. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan lansia tentang hipertensi dan diet DASH melalui pendidikan kesehatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah edukasi kesehatan dengan desain pre test dan post test pada 20 lansia di Panti Wredha Kasih Ayah Bunda Tangerang. Media edukasi meliputi presentasi, stand banner dan diskusi tanya jawab. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan lansia, kategori pengetahuan baik meningkat dari 15% pada pre test menjadi 60% saat post test. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah edukasi diet hipertensi pada lansia di Panti Wredha Kasih Ayah Bunda efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, dan mulai mengarah pada perubahan perilaku. Diharapkan kegiatan serupa dapat dilakukan secara berkala untuk mempertahankan dan meningkatkan hasil yang telah dicapai.Abstract: Hypertension is a major health problem in the elderly, known as a "silent killer" because it often does not cause symptoms but carries a high risk of causing cardiovascular complications. Education on the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet is an effective non-pharmacological strategy in lowering blood pressure and improving the quality of life of the elderly. This community service activity aims to increase the elderly's knowledge about hypertension and the DASH diet through health education. The method used in this community service activity is health education with a pre-test and post-test design on 20 elderly at the Kasih Ayah Bunda Nursing Home in Tangerang. Educational media included presentations, banner stands, and question and answer discussions. The results of this activity showed an increase in the level of knowledge of the elderly, with the category of good knowledge increasing from 15% in the pre-test to 60% in the post-test. The conclusion of this activity is that hypertension diet education for the elderly at the Kasih Ayah Bunda Nursing Home is effective in improving knowledge, attitudes, and starting to lead to behavioral changes. It is hoped that similar activities can be carried out periodically to maintain and improve the results that have been achieved.
