In this study, an effective nanocatalyst was prepared for the green synthesis of some dihydroxyacenaphtho[1,2-b]indolone derivatives. The nanocatalyst was synthesized by modifying magnetic mordenite nanoparticles with KCC-1/HKUST-1 MOF (M-MOR/KCC-1/HKUST-1). The Prepared catalyst was characterized by FT-IR, FE-SEM, VSM, XRD, BET, EDX and elemental mapping techniques and was used as a catalyst for the green synthesis of dihydroxyacenaphtho[1,2-b]indolone derivatives at 80 °C in EtOH/H 2 O (v/v: 1:1) solvent. Products were obtained in good to excellent yields (72-92%) within short reaction times (2–4 h) and their structures were identified by FT-IR, 1 HNMR, 13 CNMR and mass spectroscopy (MS) analysis. Furthermore, the antibacterial properties of some derivatives were investigated against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The results obtained using the agar diffusion method demonstrated that the synthesized compounds exhibited significant antibacterial activity.
