too great – proportionate development of the control system is required, otherwise the reserve laid at different stages can be completely leveled out by the control error; the main elements of the control system that are sources of unaccounted errors in the framework of control and assessment of concrete strength are shown; the necessity of organizing control in the system “structure–properties–quality–reliability” instead of local improvements in the systems “structure–property”, “properties–quality”, “strength–reliability” is substantiated; a “quality curve” has been developed that clearly illustrates quality stratification at various stages of concrete structure formation during the construction and service life of buildings and structures, accounting for the underlying factors as well as errors in the control system and their causes; a parallel strength assessment based on the modulus of elasticity — including a new patented method — has been proposed. Practical importance: a graphical model of an effective quality control system has been developed, including a list of specific measures that reduce local control errors and ensure the consistency of concrete quality indicators throughout the entire life cycle of buildings and structures. This will ultimately improve the efficiency of concrete’s potential and ensure the reliability of buildings and structures at the required level, as set out in the design. The economic effect of improving the reliability of concrete strength monitoring has been assessed.
