On the occurrence of larvae ofParapenaeus longirostris(Crustacea: Decapoda: Penaeoidea) off the Portuguese coast

This paper presents data concerning Parapenaeus longirostris larvae found in samples taken in a monthly survey from October 1986 to January 1989 off the Portuguese coast and on a cruise made along the south coast in August 1993. All the larval stages from Protozoea I to Mysis II were present only along the south and southwest coast in November and December in the monthly surveys, and in the August 1993 cruise. One Protozoea II of Aristeus antennatus was also present in the samples from the August 1993 cruise in the south coast.
