Adolescence is a crucial period for individuals to make decisions that will impact their future. In this sense, the Career Construction Model of Adaptation (CCMA) can shed light on a better understanding of career development during adolescence by providing a framework for how positive career outcomes are achieved. The purpose of this study is to test the CCMA by examining the relationships between hope, career adaptability, career construction behaviors, and subjective well-being as indicators of adaptive readiness, adaptability resources, adapting responses, and adaptation results, respectively, in Turkish adolescents. The study was conducted with 626 adolescents (364 female, 262 male). The results of structural equation modeling revealed positive relationships between the dimensions of the model, as well as a significant sequential relationship from hope to subjective well-being, mediated by career adaptability and career construction behaviors. The findings highlight the importance of hope and career-related factors for the well-being of adolescents.
