Why the study?
Tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy is a rare but poorly understood cause of heart failure that is potentially reversible with treatment of tachyarrhythmia.
Case Report (n=1)
Demonstrates that severe tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy following intense endurance exercise can be a fully reversible phenomenon with rest and rhythm control.
Recovery in this case supports considering exercise history in new cardiomyopathy; extends reversibility reports yet leaves open prospective validation.
Tachycardia induced cardiomyopathy (TIC) is a rare but potentially reversible cause of heart failure. The case of a patient with severe tachycardiomyopathy who had a favorable outcome following treatment of tachyarrythmia is presented here.

Nam et al. (2010) conducted a case report in Tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy (TIC) (n=1). Observation and avoidance of intense exercise was evaluated on Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) recovery.
