A cobalt metallaphotoredox-catalyzed radical allylic phosphinylation of alkenes with phosphine oxides is described herein, providing direct access to the valuable allylic phosphine oxide motif. This method offers an efficient and complementary access to a diverse array of such compounds. Distinguished by its operational simplicity and sustainability, the protocol proceeds under mild conditions and accommodates a wide substrate scope.
