If time and space are produced by contact between matter, and every black hole is filled to its contact capacity, black holes have finite cores. Defining contact as normalized quantum mutual information, with its vacuum fall-off of 1/distance⁴, motivates a candidate regular black hole metric. Under the hypothesis that each black hole sits at its degenerate-horizon (“full”) limit, core size is fixed by spin, and black hole shadows are predicted to be 7–9% smaller than in general relativity.
