Recent literature linking pro-FinTech and ecological awareness that supports sustainable performance emphasizes the perspective of corporations as FinTech service providers. This study provides empirical evidence of the relationship between sustainability-benefit beliefs and pro-FinTech behavior. In the user context, pro-fintech is the behavioral intention to use FinTech. The research data comprised 319 Generation Z students in Indonesia. The data were analyzed using SEM-PLS. This study reports that sustainability-benefit beliefs increase behavioral intention to use FinTech. We separate sustainability-benefit beliefs into economic, environmental, and social categories and find that both environmental and economic-benefit beliefs positively affect behavioral intention to use FinTech. However, social-benefit belief does not influence behavioral intention to use FinTech. This study is beneficial for users and financial institutions in increasing the number of FinTech users. FinTech service developers are advised to innovate to develop solutions that continuously improve perceived sustainability performance. Financial institutions are advised to raise public awareness of FinTech’s benefits, as this is essential to fostering a positive perception of FinTech’s ability to improve perceived sustainability performance.
