By examining seven large-scale integrated junior-senior high school projects, we established two scales “group” and “block” and clarified block formation methods by group connections. 1) Three Block types, HR-only blocks, HR+S composite blocks, HR-dominant blocks, employ spatial formation design by plan and sectional compositions. 2) The character of the blocks differed by type: the integrated junior-senior HR blocks create unified space where grades intersect ; the junior high HR blocks have limited connections to other groups; and the senior high HR blocks maintain continuity with other groups.
