This study focuses on the utilization of MEMS-based gyroscopes and accelerometers, with which the angular velocity and the direction of gravity are measured, for monitoring of earthquake response displacements of reinforced concrete (RC) members. Shaking tests of cantilever RC members were conducted attaching the MEMS sensors on the specimens. A proposed method of integrating angular velocity and identifying deflection curves resulted accurate evaluation of the response displacement the errors of which were less than 20 % and 10% for 1/1000 radian and 1/100 radian, respectively, of the maximum response in the tests.
