The 50th anniversary of ACM SIGSOFT was celebrated on July 7, 2026, in Montreal during ESEC/FSE '26, the 34th ACM Joint European Software Engineering Conference and Symposium on the Foundations of Software Engineering. Organized around a collection of video reflections and interactive panel discussions, SIGSOFT50 served as both a celebration and a conversation. The first session looked back at the people, stories, and turning points that shaped SIGSOFT and the software engineering community over the past fifty years. The second session looked ahead, featuring reflections from emerging and established leaders and a participatory workshop on the challenges and opportunities for SIGSOFT's next fifty years.
