Gita Putri Anggelina Gani. 2026. The Effect of Augmented Reality Use in Digital Systems Learning on Students’ Motivation at SMKN 2 Makassar. Thesis, Undergraduate Study Program of Electronics Engineering Education (S1), Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Makassar. (Supervised by Ummiati and Hendra Jaya). The development of digital technology provides opportunities for education to develop more interactive learning media that are relevant to students' characteristics. One technology that can be utilized in learning is Augmented Reality (AR), which enables virtual objects to be presented interactively within a real-world environment. This study aimed to determine the effect of Augmented Reality use in Digital Systems learning on students' learning motivation at SMKN 2 Makassar. This research employed a quantitative approach using a correlational research method. The population consisted of 30 students of Class X Industrial Electronics Engineering at SMKN 2 Makassar, and the entire population was selected as the sample using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 20 items, with 10 items measuring the use of Augmented Reality and 10 items measuring learning motivation. Data analysis was conducted using validity, reliability, assumption, and simple linear regression tests with the assistance of SPSS. The results showed that all questionnaire items were valid, with the calculated correlation coefficients exceeding the critical value of 0.361 and significance values of 0.000 < 0.05. The instrument demonstrated very good reliability, with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.933. The t-test results showed a t-value of 3.878 with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, while the regression coefficient was 0.638. The R Square value of 0.349 indicated that the use of Augmented Reality contributed 34.9% to students' learning motivation, while the remaining 65.1% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Therefore, the use of Augmented Reality in Digital Systems learning had a positive and significant effect on students' learning motivation at SMKN 2 Makassar.
