The rapid advancement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has considerably reshaped the functioning and service delivery mechanisms of academic libraries. Contemporary higher education libraries are increasingly moving beyond conventional print-based services towards technology-supported information environments. This study examines the contribution of ICT to the development and delivery of quality-oriented library services in higher education institutions situated in the Indore region of Madhya Pradesh. Particular attention is given to ICT infrastructure, the availability and use of electronic information resources, technology-enabled library services, and the satisfaction of major user groups. A descriptive survey approach was employed for the investigation. Data were collected from a sample of 620 respondents comprising students, faculty members, and library professionals through a structured questionnaire administered using Google Forms. The study indicates that facilities such as Online Public Access Catalogues (OPAC), electronic journals, digital repositories, online databases, and automated library systems have expanded the accessibility, speed, and convenience of information services. The findings also indicate that effective utilisation of ICT depends upon adequate infrastructure, reliable internet connectivity, trained library personnel, and continuous user awareness programmes. The study recommends systematic investment in technological infrastructure, capacity-building initiatives, and digital literacy programmes to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of ICT-supported library services.
