Ganglions are the most common tumor-like benign neoplasms in the soft tissues of the upper limbs which can be accompanied by pain syndrome and limited function of hand, and create a cosmetic defect which necessitates surgical treatment. The issue of comparative efficiency of open and arthroscopic removal of back ganglions of the wrist joint remains controversial, first of all regarding frequency of relapses and functional outcomes. So the present study is dedicated to the comparison of the long-term results of open and arthroscopic removal of back ganglions of the wrist joint.
