Does wearing garments processed with Integrated Functional Mineral Crystals (IFMC) improve brachial artery diameter and peripheral hemodynamics in healthy men?
Wearing garments processed with Integrated Functional Mineral Crystals induces immediate brachial artery vasodilation and increased local blood flow in healthy men without affecting systemic heart rate or blood pressure.
May support acute vasodilation with IFMC garments in healthy men; leaves open translation to patients or long-term outcomes.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effects of wearing garments processed with Integrated Functional Mineral Crystals (IFMC) on the brachial artery diameter and hemodynamics. Methods: We conducted a double-blind, crossover trial (n=8) and a subsequent additional trial (total n=20) involving healthy men. Participants wore either IFMC-processed or placebo garments. Brachial artery diameter, cross-sectional area, and blood flow were measured using ultrasonography at baseline, and at 5, 10, and 20 minutes after wearing. Results: In the crossover trial, the rate of change in vessel diameter in the IFMC group was 11.37%, significantly higher than that in the placebo group (1.83%; p =0.008). Cross-sectional area and blood flow also increased significantly in the IFMC group, whereas no significant changes were observed in heart rate or blood pressure. In the additional trial, significant vasodilation was confirmed as early as 5 minutes after wearing. Conclusion: Wearing IFMC-processed garments selectively acts on local hemodynamics, inducing immediate vasodilation and increased blood flow. These findings suggest the potential of IFMC-processed textiles as a novel, non-pharmacological wearable device for improving peripheral circulation.

Hisamatsu et al. (2026) conducted an RCT in Healthy men (n=20). Integrated Functional Mineral Crystals (IFMC)-processed garments vs. Placebo garments was evaluated on Rate of change in brachial artery diameter (p=0.008). Wearing IFMC-processed garments significantly increased brachial artery diameter compared with placebo garments (11.37% vs 1.83%; p=0.008).
