IMPLEMENTATION OF TSUNAMI READY COMMUNITY IN FACING TSUNAMI DISASTER IN KARANGGADUNG VILLAGE, KEBUMEN REGENCY Karangbolong Village is an area with a high risk of tsunami. Tsunami Ready Community is important in improving community preparedness in facing tsunami disasters. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Tsunami Ready Community in facing tsunami disasters in Karanggadung Village, Kebumen Regency. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. Data analysis was conducted using qualitative descriptive analysis, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study revealed that fulfillment of the Tsunami Ready Community indicators did not automatically reflect community preparedness. Administratively, Karanggadung Village has fulfilled the 12 Tsunami Ready Community indicators. However, functionally, they have not been fully internalized by the community. These findings confirm that preparedness still tends to be ready on paper, and the effectiveness of the Tsunami Ready Community program is influenced by the integration of indicators into sustainable preparedness practices and community capacity building.
