A quantitative research approach was adopted in conducting the study, and a correlational survey model was used. The research group consisted of a total of 272 students studying at Karadeniz Technical University and Trabzon University who were active, licensed athletes. The research group was selected using simple random sampling. The “Personal Information Form”, the “Athlete Social Media Usage Behaviour Scale” and the “Personal Branding Scale” were used as data collection tools in the study. Descriptive statistics, the Pearson correlation test and multiple regression analysis were used to analyse the data. Based on the findings of the study, a strong, positive and significant relationship was found to exist between social media usage behaviour and personal branding. It has also been found that social media usage behaviour has a significant and positive influence on the personal branding process.
