Landslide Susceptibility Mapping Using the Frequency Ratio Method Based on Geographic Information Systems in Batu City This study aimed to analyze the level of landslide susceptibility in Batu City using the Frequency Ratio (FR) method based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The analysis was carried out using nine conditioning parameters, and the results showed that four main factors had the most significant influence: slope steepness, rainfall intensity, elevation, and soil type. All data were processed in 30-meter resolution raster format using pixel-based spatial analysis. The results indicated that areas with steep slopes, rainfall exceeding 3000 mm per year, elevations above 1500 meters above sea level, and Andosol soil types had the highest levels of landslide susceptibility. The northern part of Batu City, particularly Bumiaji District, was identified as the most vulnerable area, followed by Batu District, while Junrejo District had the lowest susceptibility level. Model validation using the Kappa coefficient produced a value of 0.70 with an overall accuracy of 85%, indicating that the FR model was reliable in representing the spatial distribution of landslide susceptibility. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference for disaster mitigation efforts and spatial planning in Batu City.
