The Canindé Valley territory encompasses 17 municipalities, among which Oeiras stands out for concentrating the largest population and a wide range of commercial and service activities, leading it to exert interurban centrality, understood as the capacity of some cities or urban fractions to attract flows of people, goods, services, and information. In this sense, the objective is to analyze the interurban centrality exercised by Oeiras based on its urban fixed landmarks. Methodologically, the research is based on theoretical foundations regarding centrality and urban spatial production, as well as on documentary and field research. The results indicate that, due to Oeiras having three higher education institutions, four bank branches, a regional hospital, and a total of 3,750 fixed assets distributed among service, commerce, industry, and other activities, it ends up exercising significant interurban centrality in the territory. Furthermore, it is observed that its initial occupation site constitutes the area of maximum centrality in the city, although the BR-230 highway, in the section known as Avenida Transamazônica, also stands out as an important axis for the concentration of economic activities and the attraction of flows. Therefore, it was found that Oeiras plays a fundamental role in the spatial organization and articulation, from its fixed assets, of the flows of the Canindé Valley territory.
