This community engagement program, entitled “Empowering the Qur’anic Generation through Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) Activities in Kualu Nenas Village,” aimed to improve Qur’anic literacy and strengthen spiritual awareness among children and adolescents. The program was initiated in response to concerns regarding declining youth participation in Qur’anic learning and the limited availability of structured religious activities within the local community. The program involved guidance and training in Qur’anic recitation (tilawah), accurate and measured recitation (tartil), and the application of proper recitation rules (tajweed), culminating in a village-level Qur’anic recitation competition. The activities provided participants with opportunities to develop their recitation skills, build confidence, and increase their enthusiasm for religious learning. Furthermore, the program fostered collaboration among Qur’anic educators, parents, and community leaders in supporting the religious development of younger generations. Overall, the initiative served as a community-based effort to nurture a Qur’an-oriented generation and reinforce Islamic values within the social life of Kualu Nenas Village.
