One of the key elements in classroom learning activities is the implementation of effective instructional media. An interactive and engaging learning process is a major factor that can enhance students' learning achievement. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the snakes and ladders learning media in improving the learning outcomes of elementary and junior high school students. The research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method, employing a one-group pretest-posttest design to observe differences in learning outcomes before and after the intervention. The research sample includes all 5th grade students at SDN Kalang 2 Ngawi and all 8th grade students at SMP Nurul Islam Jepara. This research was conducted in 2 lesson hours. The results show that the average N-gain for elementary students reached 84.44%, while for junior high school students it was 69.44%. Based on these findings, the snakes and ladders learning media is more effective at the elementary level compared to junior high school, as the material in junior high school tends to be more abstract.
