The a rticle i s d evoted to the s tudy o f the current s tate and p rospects o f d igitalization o f p roceedings i n c ases of administrative offenses in the Russian Federation. The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that the massive nature of the proceedings under consideration, the significant burden on administrative authorities and courts, as well as the need to speed up the exchange of procedural documents objectively require the introduction of electronic forms of interaction. The article substantiates the conclusion that digitalization in this area should be considered not as a technical update of document management, but as a structural change in the procedural form. At the same time, the consolidation of electronic proceedings in the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation creates the prerequisites for increasing the accessibility of justice, the speed of consideration of cases and the effectiveness of the execution of decisions on the imposition of administrative penalties. The scientific novelty consists in the formulation of the author’s approach to understanding the electronic case of an administrative offense and in systematizing the problems of digital administrative proceedings through the prism of the principles of legality, competitiveness, equality of the parties and ensuring the right to defense. The practical significance of the article is expressed in proposals to improve the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation and the organization of electronic interaction between the court, administrative jurisdiction authorities and participants in the proceedings.
