This study aimed to design a KLPCM application for reviewing the completeness of inpatient medical-record documentation at the West Java Provincial Occupational Health Hospital using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. The system was developed using the prototyping method. The study produced a flowmap, context diagram, level-0 Data Flow Diagram (DFD), and Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), which were implemented as a Visual Basic .NET-based prototype comprising a login form, main menu, two medical-record completeness input forms, and an automatically calculated eight-item monthly report form. Master data were stored in Microsoft Access, while review data and reports were stored in Excel. The application was designed because KLPCM results at the hospital were still recorded directly in Excel, resulting in repetitive data entry, susceptibility to errors, and time-consuming monthly recapitulation, which may affect staff performance, operational efficiency, and service quality. The prototype should be tested with a larger number of staff, user feedback should be collected for subsequent development, and the data should be migrated to a database before official implementation.
