This paper examines how artificial intelligence (AI) and business analytics can be used strategically to improve corporate decision-making and create a sustainable competitive advantage in all key organizational processes. With data sets continuing to grow and market conditions growing more unpredictable, companies must shift past the management of their businesses by hunch and move to analytics-based and analytics-enabled strategic systems. Based on a qualitative, exploratory research design based on a systematic review of academic literature, industry reports, and practitioner case evidence published mainly within the past decade, the research investigates the use of AI-powered analytics in the fields of marketing, finance, human resources, and operations. The analysis summarizes the findings on how machine learning, predictive and prescriptive analytics, and real-time data processing can enhance the quality, speed, and agility of decisions for an organization. The results indicate that, although AI use has advanced quickly at the functional level, its strategic importance is often compromised by siloed use, legacy limitations, data quality issues, skills, and the inability to realize the benefits of the investment. Further, ethical and governance issues, especially data privacy, algorithmic bias, transparency, and regulation compliance, become key factors in the attainment of trust and value creation in the long term. The paper notes organizational culture, leadership alignment, and human capital development as key success factors in the successful implementation of AI, noting that the competitive advantage is not only determined by the level of technological development but also through the overall alignment of processes, people, and strategy within the enterprise. By synthesizing the input of corporate divisions, this study is relevant to the theory and practice as it provides an integrated understanding of AI-based strategic decision-making. It develops the knowledge of how companies can transform disjointed AI projects into continuous innovation, resilience, and differentiation in an ever-increasingly competitive international business.
