We examined whether workplace belonging was associated with turnover intentions among student affairs professionals. Drawing on a national survey of 4,455 student affairs professionals working at 944 U.S. two-year and four-year colleges and universities, we estimated hierarchical ordinary least squares regression models with heteroskedasticity-consistent standard errors. We tested whether workplace belonging was associated with turnover intentions after accounting for demographic characteristics, professional and work characteristics, salary satisfaction, institutional characteristics, and burnout. The results suggested that higher workplace belonging was significantly associated with lower turnover intentions among student affairs professionals, net of other covariates.
