This community service initiative aims to strengthen food security and the local economy in the Tomini Raya Marine Area by integrating fisheries with free-range laying hen farming, utilizing local resources. The activities include training on feed formulation using fishery by-products, technical assistance for laying hen farming, business management capacity building, and the establishment of an integrated business group capable of managing operations sustainably. The project employs a participatory, community-based approach, involving transmigrant communities, village governments, relevant agencies, community business groups, and other supporting partners. Key targets include the formation of an integrated fisheries-laying hen business group, the development of practical local feed formulations, enhanced community skills in farming and business management, and the creation of a sustainable business integration model. Expected outcomes include increased processing of fishery waste, higher egg productivity, reduced feed costs, increased community income, and broader access to business development opportunities.
