Marketing management is no longer about selling and promoting goods, but it is about creating, communicating, delivering and sustaining the value to the customers. Marketing managers have access to a range of new tools which have grown significantly due to digital platforms, social media, e-commerce, data analytics, marketing automation and AI. Meanwhile, there is ever more demand for relevance, convenience, transparency, personalisation, responsible data use and meaningful brand experiences. This is a conceptual research paper that addresses the nature of marketing management in the digital age and creates an integration of market orientation, segmentation and positioning, customer experience, digital communication, data-driven decision making, artificial intelligence, brand management, relationship marketing and sustainability. The psaper has been drawn from literature review of the existing marketing-management literature, digital-marketing literature and selected Marathi reference sources. The study is based on conceptual synthesis and managerial implications because there is no primary survey or fabricated numerical data. The review shows that the effective marketing management in the contemporary world needs a balance between technology and judgment of human beings. While Data and AI can enhance targeting, prediction, personalization and measurement, customer trust, ethical communication, privacy, brand purpose and human centred service are still vital. The paper suggests a practical sequence of actions: getting to know the market, customer value definition, identification of priority segments, the creation of an integrated value proposition, the activation of digital and physical touch points, measuring results, constant learning and embedding of responsible marketing. The framework is especially relevant for organizations that are in competitive, digital and rapidly changing markets.
