This article attempts to capture the rich legacy of Cezary Wodziński’s philosophical thought, focusing primarily on the concept of evil. I will first briefly outline Wodziński’s primary philosophical interests. Secondly, despite Wodziński’s views on Nietzsche, his undisputed master. I argue that Heidegger and his political engagement are the main focal points. I therefore outline Wodziński’s views on evil in the context of Heidegger’s thought and biography. Finally, I discuss Heidegger’s encounter with Celan, which is important to Wodziński and forms the basis of his exceptionally beautiful book Kairos. This is a particularly important book due to the importance of language and its form in Wodziński’s philosophy.
