This study defines the state where the domain of craftsmanship based on the experience and intuition that carpenters have cultivated through traditional wooden construction, and the aesthetic sensibilities nurtured by the carpenters themselves converge and overlap as the “sensory domain”. It aims to extract and categorize this tacit knowledge from the language used in downstream construction activities by local builders and carpenters, thereby grasping the actual conditions of regional, traditional wooden construction activities and categorizing it to understand the actual activities of regional, traditional wooden construction.
